"THE DELL"
Nature Trail
A new experience for visitors to the arboretum is "The Dell" nature trail located just west of the main Waterways path. This unique area introduced in summer of 2019 features a collection of flowering shrubs and trees along a natural path bermed on both sides and partially canopied by Cottonwoods, Buckthorn, Conifers and Russian Olive. The introduction of Magnolias, Rhododendrons, Azaelas, Flowering Almonds and Potentillas make this a special location for Montana. Future plans call for Hibiscus, Hydrangea. Prunus Triloba and more Viburnums, all that will add to the fragrant solitude that we call "The Dell".
